Tuesday, 15th June 2010

I’m very happy to start a diary here on my site. This is going to be quite personal and perhaps boring to people who will venture into this section, but I felt it was needed to give myself, if nothing else, a sense of direction and of where I am going with my work.

A lot is happening these days: the start of a new Goldfrapp tour, being in the thick of making a record with my own first band (The Black Ships) and many more projects that are filling my professional and musical life beyond imagination.

I’m very grateful for this yet I sense the need of not stretching myself too much, as I sometime begin to feel the pressure more than necessary.

The cure for this is always working on some detail, on making sure that there is a list to do things and that these are actually getting done!

I’m home now, but soon will be away again, into the world.

  1. Hi David,

    Thank you for your interest, but what a question to answer!

    I can tell you that we are working at it very hard (I’m working even while touring with another band!) but it’s still early days to make an absolute deadline for any release whatsoever.

    The material is there already for more than an album, but the finishing touches require the hardest work.

    I promise that when stuff will get released it will be worth the wait!

    First of all, i would like to say huge THANK YOU for your creative works.

    Also, you visited Moscow on 10th of June with Goldfrapp, and it was totally amazing. One more huge “Thank you” for this performance – I have never seen anything more perfect. It was quite long ago, but i still have that warmth and very special atmosphere. Hope you will visit us again!=)

    I love the way you breath life into music, making it more rich and emotional. And i love your re-interpretations, though, unfortunately, i have not found much of them. But your “Believer” is very special, and thanks for it again.

    I am very glad to find you site, because i was trying to find more of your works. You haven’t updated it for rather long time, at least, a diary. Will you continue keeping it?

    Are you looking forward to making some solo project or an album? And where can I listen to some more of your works?
