BIOGRAPHY

As one of today’s most innovative and original string-arrangers, Davide’s work can be heard in some of the most interesting records, coming out from an array of artists such as Siouxie, Coldplay, Goldfrapp, The Verve and Röyksopp, just to name a few.
Davide’s work as a performer, mainly as a violinist, has been witnessed in hundreds of prestigious venues throughout the globe.
He has been part of the Goldfrapp’s live band for almost a decade, headlined with The Verve Glastonbury and various other festivals and participated in many other different live projects, including supporting Coldplay with Jon Hopkins at their O2′s concerts in London and during their Japanese tour in early 2009. More recently he has been headlining Roskilde and Werchter Festivals with Trentemøller and Röyksopp and joined Chris Martin and Neil Young onstage at the Bridge School Benefit Concert in San Francisco.
Winning three Grammy awards in 2009 with “Viva La Vida or Death And All His Friends” was the recognition for his contribution as both arranger and main collaborator to the British band Coldplay.
The song “Viva La Vida”, which has become by far the best ever selling single of the London’s quartet, is the classic example of his signature work.
Davide is also a composer in his own rights.
He has re-interpreted hits such as Röyksopp’s “The Girl And The Robot” and Moby’s “Pale Horses” and “Mistake” reshaping these as completely new and original compositions.
His one-man orchestra approach gives to the tone of the scores a unique style and energy that more and more artists and audiences are starting to appreciate.
