Edinburgh – Sunday, 11th July 2010
After a short trip to Ireland, where we played at the Oxigene Festival near Dublin, here we are in cold, rainy but extremely beautiful Edinburgh. Looking forward to play at the T in the Park festival tonight.
This morning sunshine is on the menu, however experience tells me this could change in no time here in Scotland… let’s hope for the best!
It’s great to be back doing festivals, with the possibility to check out other acts and see old and new faces on the various sites.
So far, this Goldfrapp tour has been the most pleasurable and fun. The material to choose from is great and the variety huge. Quite a change from what it was ten years ago, when we only had 30 minutes at our disposal and a pretty monotone (but beautiful) sound with Felt Mountain.
Anyways… off to get ready for tonight, hopefully it will be a blast!

Mexico City.
We just completed a small and yet fantastic US tour, which touched Washington, New York, San Francisco and Los Angeles.
Great venues and great audiences.
I believe that this incarnation of Goldfrapp is possibly the best ever and we are proving it with some blinding shows.
Back home the Ships are productive and we are all working remotely at the moment.
Tonight we play for the first time in Mexico and tomorrow we will be heading home.

London…
This past week has been a hard one: two production rehearsals with Goldfrapp to make sure that the show will be a cracker (and it will definitely be!), then seeing the boys at the Beehive and just jump in into a session with them.
It feels like I have so many families in this music world… indeed I am very lucky.
Sometimes it’s hard to keep on with the pressure of such high demands commitments, but the joy of being able to do this is remarkable.
Tomorrow off to the US for a series of concerts: looking forward to it!
Trentemøller – Into The Great Wide Yonder
I’m so lucky to be able to work with people I love and respect. Anders Trentemøller is a wonderful guy, a great friend and a super talented musician.
Since the first day we met, we immediately started talking about working together. This took shape during his headline gig at Roskilde festival and now onto two tracks of his wonderful new album.
Two strings arrangements for the songs The Mash And The Fury and Shades Of Marble.
I guess I will be doing gigs with him very soon!
